Help me ask a happy customer for a testimonial.

Who they are: [NAME / RELATIONSHIP]
What I did for them: [THE WORK OR PRODUCT]
The result they got: [IF YOU KNOW IT]
Where I'll use it: [WEBSITE / SOCIAL / PROPOSALS]

Write:
1. A short, warm message asking for the testimonial
2. 3–4 specific questions I can include so they don't face a blank page (about the before, the result, what surprised them)
3. An easy-out line so there's no pressure
4. A note offering to draft a starting point they can edit into their own words and approve, if they're busy — not a finished quote to rubber-stamp

Keep it genuine, not salesy. Make saying yes as effortless as possible.

Example scenario

A wedding photographer could use this to ask past clients for testimonials with specific prompting questions.
