Copy block

I'm going to describe a process I do from memory, in no particular order. Turn it into a clean standard operating procedure (SOP).

The process: [DESCRIBE HOW YOU DO THE TASK — RAMBLING IS FINE]
Who will follow this SOP: [NEW HIRE / VA / TEAMMATE / FUTURE ME]
How often it's done: [DAILY / WEEKLY / PER ORDER / ETC.]

Produce:
1. A one-line purpose statement
2. What you need before starting (tools, access, files)
3. Numbered steps in the right order, each starting with a verb
4. Common mistakes or gotchas (infer likely ones and mark them as [LIKELY])
5. A "done checklist" — how to verify the task was completed correctly

Ask me up to 3 clarifying questions if any steps seem to be missing.

Example scenario

An owner could use this to turn a process they do from memory into a written SOP for a new virtual assistant.
